Sometimes it can be hard to know if the work you are doing with a pupil day-to-day in school is actually having an impact, and challenging to create appropriate data to evidence this when you need to.

This webinar will provide participants with an insight into how evidence-based Reach2Teach AFIT(Action for Inclusion Today) software can support staff by providing personalised interventions, based on the pupil’s relational and learning needs, and track the changes that ensue for individuals and cohorts across time.


We will share exciting new research which shows that the use of Reach2Teach AFIT has been proven to help children do better in school, correlates with SDQs and is effective in enabling educators to clearly see their work is making a genuine difference to how safe a pupil feels in school, and settle into learning, with all the many benefits that flow from this for them, their classmates, the staff and the school.

Our webinar will show you the key elements involved in the research, and share multiple easy ways in which you can swiftly collate data from AFIT to track how your consistent, imaginative, relational work is effecting change for individual children and young people, or across cohorts large and small, correlating change with attendance and SDQs where you would find this helpful.

When a child or young person presents with challenging behaviour, the first thing we can change is ourselves and how we respond, which can make all the difference to the outcome. This is especially true if they are at risk of being excluded. Their behaviour is so often a communication about their relational and learning needs, and some of the strongest needs in that mix will be for adults capable of genuinely connecting with them, seeing and valuing them beneath the behaviour, and working to meet them in the most helpful way we can. And it is 'we' - we are all accountable for how we respond and for the environment in which children and young people who have experienced trauma and loss struggle to find a footing. Our webinar speakers, both highly experienced lead practitioners from Virtual schools (Hampshire and Cumberland), have given this issue serious thought, and used the AFIT needs analysis software to support themselves and their teams to develop their capacity to be the 'Adults who ...' with heartening outcomes for the children and young people they work with.
